Book giveaway followup …

A million thanks to Tony Reinke for tweeting about the books. The response has been overwhelming. I’m slowly sorting through the emails in the order they were received. I’m writing each individual back to firm up their commitment to take the books they’ve expressed interest in. Everyone who emailed will receive a response. I appreciate your patience as I work through the messages.

Books to give away …

UPDATE – 9 Aug 2014,  10:41 p.m. (CST) – The response was overwhelming and I received many, many emails. All the books listed below have been spoken for and are no longer available. Thanks to everyone for their interest and thanks to Tony for tweeting about this project.

I’d like for these books to find a home. I am not looking to sell them, just to give them away. Ideally, I’d like to send them to someone who can reimburse me for the postage. I’ve looked into shipping via USPS at their media mail rate and the pricing is reasonable, even for heavier items. Having said that, if someone wanted them and couldn’t afford the postage, I’d be inclined to send them anyway because I’d like for the books to go to someone who wants them.

Nearly all of them are in “near fine” condition with the only marking being my book stamp on the title page. All the hardcovers with dust jackets, except those noted below, have mylar covers on the jacket.

Here’s a list of the items I’m looking to give away:

  • Reformed Dogmatics by Herman Bavinck, complete set (4 volumes) from Baker (no mylar covers) (no longer available)
  • Church Dogmatics by Karl Barth, complete set (14 volumes) from Hendrickson (no longer available)
  • New Testament Commentary by William Hendriksen & Simon J. Kistemaker, complete set (12 volumes) from Baker (no longer available)
  • Romans by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, complete set (14 volumes) from Banner of Truth (no longer available)
  • A complete, or nearly complete set of Puritan paperbacks from Banner of Truth (no longer available)
  • Autobiography by C. H. Spurgeon, complete set (2 volumes) from Pilgrim Publications (no longer available)
  • Treasury of David by C. H. Spurgeon, complete set (7 volumes) from Pilgrim Publications (no longer available)

If you’re interested in any of these books, please email me at buterabooks@gmail.com

If I get any interest in the books, I’ll strike through them as they become unavailable.

(Sorry for the poor quality of the photos. They were taken quickly.)
